Local Outcomes Improvement Plan and Locality Plan
Local Outcomes Improvement Plan
The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 Part 2 (6) requires Dumfries and Galloway Community Planning Partnership to prepare and publish a Local Outcomes Improvement Plan (LOIP) that sets out what we want to achieve for the people of our region.
Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 Part 2 (6)
The Plan must show how we are tackling inequality and socio-economic disadvantage and the improvement actions we are taking to make that difference.
Our most recent Plan was approved by our Community Planning Partnership Board on 1 September 2023.
The updated LOIP sets out three Themes and twelve Outcomes that will be our focus over the next 10 years until 2033. The Performance Framework to monitor achievement of these Outcomes is drawn from the wide range of Strategies and Plans currently in place and we also have a LOIP Action Plan which prioritises key issues to be progressed.. Locality Plans
The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 Part 2 (6)requires Dumfries and Galloway Community Planning Partnership to prepare and publish Locality Plan(s) that set out what we are doing in specific geographic area(s) of the CPP region.
The Plan(s) must show how we are tackling inequality and socio-economic disadvantage and the improvement actions we are taking to make that difference.
Following a review of our first Locality Plan, eight areas were agreed by our Community Planning Partnership Board on 1 September 2023 to have a Locality Plan. They are:
- Annan East
- Annan West
- Dumfries Central
- Lochside and Lincluden
- Stranraer East
- Stranraer West

At its meeting on 1 December 2023, the CPP Board agreed the format of the Locality Profile; and that Kirkconnel and Kelloholm would be a pilot.
